Problems adding phone number and email

When clicking the link to add phone number or email, the link will not open to let me add the phone number or email

Hello Lisanichols, we're here to help get your email and phone number added to the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile app.

 

In order for the app to function properly you must have the following requirements:

  • AT&T Wireless or AT&T PREPAID service
  • iPhone 6 or newer with iOS version 12+ or higher or an Android smartphone with OS 11+ or higher purchased through AT&T
  • HD Voice enabled• HD Voice-capable smartphone

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if this helps with the link opening up. Also, check to make sure you have the most recent update for the app.

Let us see if these additional options can help you, Lisanichols.


When the ActiveArmor app isn't functioning properly,you can try these steps:

  • Go to Settings on your device and tap General.
  • Tap Software Update and make sure you have the latest version. If you don’t, update it now.
  • Close settings and open the App Store.
  • Tap Updates, and select Update next to AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app.

If the Mobile Security app doesn’t update properly from the Google PlayTM Store, try this:

  • Tap settngs
  • Find your running apps and tap Google Play.
  • Tap Clear Cache and then Force stop.
  • Search for the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app in Play Store.
  • Tap Update

You may have to clear more settings:

  • Tap Settings then Application manager/Apps.
  • Scroll to the All section and tap Google Services. (It may say Google Services Framework, Google Connectivity Services, or Google Play Services.)
  • Tap Clear Data and then Force Stop.
  • Go back to the list of apps under your device settings and select Google Play Store.
  • Tap Clear Data, then Force Stop.
  • Turn your phone off and back on. (This is important!)
  • Open the Play Store and try updating the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app again.

This is an iphone and does not have google. I dont see any of that on this phone.

Thank you for reaching back out to us, Lisanichols.

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and confirm both the App Refresh and ActiveArmor mobile security app are in 'ON' status.

Be sure to turn off any other VPN-type apps off temporarily by:

Going to Setting > Type VPN in universal search bar > VPN & Device Management. Disconnect.
The goal is to have AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security to serve as the VPN to protect the network connections whether it be Wi-Fi or browsing.

This still did not help. This is a new iphone 13 and when you click on add number or add email nothing happens.
