HBOMAX
Is anyone else having issue with HBOMAX having been cancelled from the AT&T elite unlimited wireless plan? It is still listed as a feature on that plan, and I don't recall ever having seen notification of a change in my plan, but customer service chatted me tonight (after about an hour and a half on chat and several escalations) that it has been deactivated. No explanation. Just that it is no longer part of the service. But my plan says otherwise....

HBO Max has not been removed from Unlimited Elite to my knowledge. Unlimited Elite was discontinued and replaced by Unlimited Premium and that plan does not include HBO Max. Whoever you were chatting with was probably confused.

Same thing here. Considering just switching to the Unlimited premium plan (which is cheaper than the Elite) and then just subscribing to HBO Max during their current special of ~$100/year which woulds still save me ~$30/mo for 4 lines.

Hello L2M19U, we're here to help answer your question about wireless plans related to HBO Max.
As the ACE @sandblaster mentioned, Unlimited Elite was discontinued and replaced by Unlimited Premium and that plan does not include HBO Max.
Starting August 17, 2022, new and returning subscribers in the U.S. can save over 40% when they sign up for the HBO Max Ad-Free or With Ads yearly plan. Savings based on the price of the yearly plan paid upfront compared to the price of the monthly plan paid over 12 months.
Let us know if this helps, and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

But I'm still paying for unlimited elite, so HBOMax should still be included. I was never notified of a change in my plan...

Exactly what Taryn said. My plan hasn’t changed. But the HBO part disappeared. Not happy.

@ATTHelp You didn’t answer the question. For customers that still have Unlimited Elite, has HBOMax been removed or not?
@tarynsprankles You might want to verify you still actually have Unlimited Elite and didn’t somehow get changed to the new plan.

@sandblaster I checked. It's still my plan and it still says HBOMax is included. I just can't find any way to access it/enable it, and that's where support said basically that I wouldn't find a way because it doesn't exist. Thanks for the clarification to @ATTHelp. That's exactly the clarification I need. The idea of switching to the cheaper premium plan is a good idea if they keep giving me the runaround, but in truth, I am so frustrated with their customer service (or lack thereof), that I am ready to cancel my cable service with them and go strictly to streaming, not through them, because I don't want to give them any more of my money. I'm locked into wireless for a while, unfortunately.

Hello, @L2M19U! We want to help clarify which streaming services are offered with your plan!
Based on the information you have provided, let's meet in a Direct Message to further discuss your plan benefits regarding HBO Max. Please check your Direct Message Inbox(it’s the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums).
In the meantime, can you provide how long you have been unable to access HBO Max through your AT&T account.
We look forward to chatting with you soon!

We understand your frustration with not being able to access your HBO Max, @tarynsprankles.
If you do decide to get the Unlimited Premium plan, you'll get all the great features the Elite plan includes, plus an additional 10 GB of mobile hotspot per month for a total of 50 GB data. For example, you can keep one line on Unlimited Elite, and move your other lines to Unlimited Premium, if you have multiple lines. The Elite line will have 40 GB of Mobile Hotspot data, and you would gain an additional 10 GB of Mobile hotspot data, for a total of 50 GB of data per month, per line. You can use this resource to resubscribe your HBO Max account. Just simply click the corresponding drop-down options and follow the instructions.
Please share the results with us and we can offer more support if you need additonal assistance. Thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!

@ATTHelp LOL. But you STILL have not answered the question about access to HBOMax through my CURRENT elite plan. This much runaround seems to indicate I'm not going to like your answer. Why can I not access the promised HBOMax, free of charge, through my CURRENT elite plan? I don't actually WANT to change my plan. I WANT the services I actually singed up for!
