Ending unlimted Wi-Fi for IPads
I think it is totally wrong. I was on the program since it started. Never abused it or used on another device. It stinks because I paid for my iPads at the Apple Store AND it cost me a couple hundred dollars more to have cellular. If I wouldn't have been allowed to keep my "grandfathered " plan I wouldn't have purchased the More Expensive IPad. They really got over on us. Greedy companies 😡

Can you be a bit more specific on what you mean? I have an iPad, non-cellular, and WiFi as well as WiFi-C (WiFi Calling) works just fine, but it is not on my cellular plan (no need to).

what the poster means is they are killing off the unlimited plan that was around for years.

I pay $20 a month to have my cellular iPad on the same plan with my phone. Unlimited data. And cheaper than they now discontinued $35 Prepaid Plan. Who is your phone provider? Why do you not add your tablet to your phone plan for 20 bucks a month?

Just because using a wrong term is a pet peeve of mine...
They are not ending "unlimited Wi-Fi". The plan in question never provided any such thing. Wi-Fi all by itself does not connect one to the internet.
Wi-Fi is a wireless method of connecting to a source that provides internet service. Either a wired home internet service, satellite service or a mobile internet service.
Wi-Fi is what your router provides within your house in order to connect wirelessly to the internet via a modem.
It is what the hotspot on your phone provides to connect a non-cellular device (like a tablet)
What they have terminated is the unlimited mobile data plan.
There, I feel better.
When you speak to someone trying to purchase services and use the wrong terminology you will be taking advantage of because they know you don't know what the heck you're talking about. When you know the terms you come off as an educated consumer.
