Coverage in the Carribean

We are taking a cruise and I am wanting to figure out if my plan includes any text and/or data in the ports we are going to. We will be in AMBER COVE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ST. THOMAS, VIRGIN ISLANDS, ST. JOHN'S, ANTIGUA, PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAARTEN, NETHERLAND ANTILLES, SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, and GREAT STIRRUP CAY which is owned by the cruise company. Since Puerto Rico St Johns and St Thomas are all US territories, I wasn't sure if they are covered?

Att has no foot in any part of the islands anymore.

If you are postpaid...

Us VI and Puerto Rico were sold to Liberty. The sale includes free roaming for att customers.  So roaming there will be as domestic.

And other roaming would be covered by international day pass, at $10 per day.  If you decline day pass, you will be charged high pay per use rates.

Prepaid has limited roaming with paid add on outside US VI and Puerto Rico.

Ship board plans are expensive.  A separate plan is required.

Thanks for the replies but neither are definitive answer.  I have called AT&T 4 times now and get different answers each time.  The latest was that the US Virgin Islands are covered in my plan but Puerto Rico requires a SIM card from Liberty Mobile but then my plan will be used on that sim but nobody can tell me how to get a sim card from them.  Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

The information you received when you called is incorrect.

As I wrote before, both Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands were sold to Liberty mobile who has a roaming agreement with AT&T as part of the sale. It will be treated as domestic roaming.

Formerlyknownas,  THANK YOU!  I have searched for this on AT&T site and never found it.  I have called 4 times and spent at least 4 hours being transferred to the wrong department only to be told to call the exact same F-ing number I called in the first place.

The website is a circular loop that just wants to sell you an international plan or a cruise ship package when these destinations are not listed in the international plan coverage which is why I was somewhat sure they should be covered.

Again, Thank you.

Very welcome.

Unfortunately, par for the course.  After years of bad info from ATT, I switched to Verizon.  The irony us I get the same bogus answers from their CS.  Can't trust any of them
