Calls not going to voicemail

People have told me their calls don’t go to my voicemail. I have checked and they are not on the blocked numbers list.

Hello dazed, we're here to help look into why your incoming calls aren't going to voicemail.

Not answering a call doesn't automatically put it on the blocked list.

To find out if your phone has a built-in feature to block calls and text messages:

  1. Go to Device Support and select your phone.
  2. Go to the search box at the beginning of the page and search by typing block.
  3. Select the article from the search results. If you don’t see steps to take for your phone, contact the company that made your device for more help, or try these other options.

Make sure your device has the most recent software updates to ensure you have the latest features and device protection options.

  1. Go to Device Support.
  2. Select or change the selected device brand and model.
  3. Scroll to More Device Help.
  4. Select Software updates if you see it. It only displays if there’s an available update for your device.
  5. Repeat the steps to check for software updates for a different device.

If you recently changed your device and have a new phone, or got a new sim card. You may need to set up your voicemail.

Make sure to set up your voicemail within 60 days of activation or it’ll be automatically removed from your account.

  1. From your wireless phone, press and hold 1 or the Voicemail key.
  2. Select your language preference.
  3. Create a 7 to 15-digit password.
  4. Select your preferred greeting.
  5. Listen to the brief voicemail tutorial.

Use our Troubleshooting and Resolve Tool if the issue persists to get a step-by-step personalized solution changing to your device.

So if I don’t answer a call does that automatically put it in my blocked list?
