Block text message spam with Active Armor?
I occasionally get text message spams. Does Active Armor also block text message spams in addition to phone call spams? If so, how do I add/report a text message as spam and block the phone number without having to add the phone number manually in Active Armor? If I go into the call log to report the text/phone number as spam, it only shows phone calls and not texts. I am aware I can do this manually but would like for it to be more automated like you can do with phone call spams.

Hi Rojma, we'd be happy to answer your question about getting spam text messages blocked.
As the ACE @sandblaster mentioned, they are correct in saying that AT&T ActiveArmor will not block text message spams.
In order to help block spam, robocalls, and unwanted text messages they must be forwarded to 7726 (SPAM) or, you can complete this form.
Let us know if this helps, and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

No.
To report a text, forward it to 7726. Unfortunately, blocking the number in active armor does nothing for texts.

Hello @Rojma, we're happy to help with options to block text messages with ActiveArmor.
Thank you for providing that information @sandblaster. AT&T ActiveArmor works 24/7 to help stop threats before they get to you. Unwanted calls and texts are annoying, and some could be fraudulent or illegal. Report offenders that slip through and help block them.
To find out if your phone has a built-in feature to block calls and text messages:
1. Go to Device Support and select your phone.
2. Go to the search box at the beginning of the page and search by typing block.
3. Select the article from the search results. If you don’t see steps to take for your phone, contact the company that made your device for more help, or try these other options.
We're here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Sorry @ATTHelp . You are suggesting installing AT&T Call Protect, but isn't Active Armor supposed to replace Call Protect? Also, you seem to suggest that Active Armor does protect from unwanted texts, but then proceed to explain how to report suspicious texts outside of Active Armor by forwarding the message to 7726. If I have to report suspicious texts outside of Active Armor, then how is Active Armor protecting me from suspicious texts? Can you please clarify?

Thank you for your feedback @Rojma.
We have merged AT&T Call Protect and AT&T Mobile Security into one easy-to-use app to create a more seamless user experience. In order to help block spam, robocalls, and unwanted text messages they must be forwarded to 7726 (SPAM).
Report offenders by completing this form to help with unwanted text messages.
Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

FWIW, looks like 7726 is defunct. I just forwarded a spam message and no automated reply followed.

You guys really need to read posts instead of just spamming with canned responses. First you describe to me what Active Armor does, which I am fully aware of:
Then you tell me to install Call Protect:
Then you tell me that that Call Protect has been merged into Active Armor (and if so why are you telling me to install Call Protect?)
Then you proceed to tell me how to add or opt out of Active Armor, a question I did not ask since I already have Active Armor installed and working - I just have a question on its functionality:
But you have never answered my original question - does Active Armor block spam text messages? It's a simple yes or no answer. I don't need a detailed canned response. If the answer is yes, how can I report spam text messages through Active Armor? I am not interested in reporting spam messages via other methods for the purpose of this question. I just want to know if there is a way to do it through Active Armor.
So please stop with the canned responses, actually read the question, and answer the question I have instead answering some other random question I am not asking.
Thank you.

FYI @sandblaster seems to have answered the question but it was not from an official AT&T account. If AT&T can confirm that I am fine with his answer. Also why is his answer marked as the accepted and official solution if I have not accepted that as the solution?

Anyone home @ATTHelp ? Also I saw the option to remove his answer as the accepted official solution, so I have done so until I get an official response from AT&T.
