AT&T Wireless Users Displaying incorrect CNAM for our calls

We are receiving reports that AT&T wireless users are displaying Loretta Lilly instead of Pohlman USA for our CNAM when we call.  Please advise how this information can be updated.

Thank you,

Alicia Hart

Hi there, PohlmanUSA! We would like to help you with your CNAM request change.

Before we get started researching what can be done, we do have some questions about the company involved.

  1. Is the companies telephone provider AT&T?
  2. What is the service type the company using? A landline or VOIP service?
  3. Is it all AT&T Wireless subscribers?
  4. Are AT&T Landline users getting the same thing?

The reason why we are asking these questions is, so we can start the process to get the CNAM resolved.

The more that you or the company that you represent can provide will be most helpful.

Thank you for posting to the AT&T Community Forums.

Always keep in mind that the calling party's phone provider only sends the phone number of the calling party to the recipient during call setup; the name is nowhere to be found in the call setup.  The Recipient's provider does a directory lookup on the phone number to provide the name.  The Recipient provider's directory is his responsibility, but is usually updated from data feeds originating from the directory feed from the phone number's provider.

So, for example, if your numbers are blocked from directory listing, that information wouldn't be provided.

Thanks for letting us know, @PohlmanUSA

At this time, since you've stated that your companies telephone provider is through "RingCentral", we'd advise for you to reach out directly to them. They'll be able to update the caller ID for the company and make more in depth changes.

Thanks for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums team and let us know if you've got any other questions or concerns.

Once AT&T gets the Number from the caller  What directory database/CNAM does AT&T access to pull the Caller name ID?
