Active Armor Warning Update iOS

Just got this warning 1hr ago and the iOS is currently 16.6.1.

Also, I had a support case and call over 30 days ago r/t the App being deleted and then still blocking calls. I was supposed to get a call back. No calls or emails as of 9/18/23 1735.

I have video of app reinstalled showing blocked numbers and when blocked item is selected it opens to another completely different number. That number was blocked 30 times and unknown how or why. I would not block a number from I wanted to receive calls/text from, like Comcast, IRS Department of the Treasury, Apple, Citibank, etc.  Video made back in July 2023.

To the title question, the reason for the active armor notification is because iOS 17.0 was released today, so now 16.6.1 is an old iOS version.  The notification goes away when you update, although if you choose not to update now, I don’t think it matters.  Active armor still works as it did before.  You just have a notification.

Hello @WTNVBFL, we are here to help you with Active Armor warning update iOS.

Just uninstalling the ActiveArmor mobile security app doesn't remove the service from your account. It also won't stop network based fraud blocking or billing for AT&T ActiveArmor advanced mobile security. You must complete all steps to stop billing and remove the service.

i). Use myAT&T or your app store to downgrade from ActiveArmor advanced and remove the subscription from your account.

    • Open AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security and go to Settings.
    • Tap Account. If you have an iPhone, choose Subscription.
    • Select Free.
    • Follow the prompts.
    • Cancel your subscription through your device app store or your myAT&T account.

ii). Deactivate ActiveArmor and remove the service:

    1. Go to Settings in ActiveArmor mobile security.
    2. Tap Account and choose Remove Service.
    3. Choose one of the following:

    • On your iPhone - confirm that you want to remove AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security.
    • On an Android phone - select AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security. Tap Remove to finish up.

iii). Uninstall the app from your device.

Ultimately, if you want to allow unknown callers without disabling the app, open the AT&T ActiveArmor app> Calls> Network call preferences> choose Unknown callers>Allowed.

Learn more about how to use the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app to manage your incoming calls.

Hello Ken (AT&T Community Specialist),

So, on my iPhone, I do not have Google Play in settings.

The device updated 9/20/23 to iOS 17. Alert in Active Armor solved. Active Armor currently at version 6.3.0 - 1 month ago - & functioning as normal.

The switching of the displayed data in the app under "My block list" is a concern, as demonstrated in the video link provided. Any suggestions on that?

Thank you for your assistance.

Not weird at all.  That’s because Apple already released a security patch.  The new version is iOS 17.0.1.

When you see that message, just go into the phone setting and look at software update to see if there is a new version available.
